About the product
"Voankazo Nandrarana" ("The Forbidden Fruit"), written in 1946 and published in 1970, is one of the novels in which Andriamalala pursued an almost angelic ideal of love. As in much of his work, this romantic quest is inseparable from another lifelong preoccupation: the nation and its people. Ranked alongside Menarana, Fofombadiko, and Ilay Vohitry ny Nofy, it is considered one of the classics that built the author's reputation as the father of Malagasy literary realism.
