D Meuble et Archi gorilla sculpture from Madagascar – raw strength in welded steel

This exceptional work of art is crafted by hand from thousands of metal washers and salvaged metal pieces, welded one by one with great precision. The rhythmic repetition of the washers recreates the powerful musculature and dense fur of a silverback in a firmly anchored quadrupedal posture. Enhanced by thermal patina shades of copper, bronze and brushed steel, this monumental statue breathes life into industrial materials.
